In early May 2017, End Citizen United success was threatened by the GOP secret organization. If you remember correctly, the Obama Care was the former President Obama’s legacy. The healthcare program offered support to millions of Americans. However, in early May, President Trump and the Republicans voted to repeal the healthcare bill.
The healthcare bill will affect American families mostly the seniors and the people with chronic diseases.
After the House of Republicans vote, American Action Network which is a secret group has moved in and is rewarding the GOP who voted to repeal the healthcare program. The group will give the Republicans $2 million ad blitz. The problem is that the source of the money used is not known. This is what threatens the freedom of the people.
ECU has commented that they will keep on with their work of informing people on the cynicism and hypocrisy in the American politics.

End Citizen United has been fighting the circulation of dark money in political parties. The group was formed in 2015 to fight for reforms in America. The organization generated its name from the Supreme Court ruling of 2010. Supreme Court reversed the Bipartisan Act about ‘soft money.’ This is what gave the politicians and organizations like American Action Network a chance of using the dark money to control politics.
End Citizens United main agenda is to have Congress reverse the Supreme Court ruling by amending the Constitution. They were successful in collecting signatures to launch a petition.
Even though they have experienced challenges with their vision, the organization has been making great strides. In 2016, End Citizens United managed to raise $25 million. Three months into 2017, the organization has managed to raise $4 million out the total $35 million. The group seeks to raise $35 million for the 2018 midterm Congress elections.
End Citizen United is a traditional PAC, and it operates as such. That means that they do not accept a contribution of more than $5,000 from the individual donors. The group also partners with the grassroots activists. This is how the organization has managed to promote awareness among the Americans.
End Citizen United works with the Democrats. During the 2016 elections, ECU endorsed different candidates. The leadership of the ECU seeks to support and partner with the liberals and people who want to propel their agenda.
End Citizen United indicated that they were still considering the races that they will support 2018. However, they indicated that they would be playing an active role in supporting and defending the Democratic Senatorial Race of Jon Tester and Sherrod Brown from Montana and Ohio respectively.
