The IPSAC-VN’s primary goal is to help train medical professionals in Vietnam. This hopes to create an environment where those medical professionals can service their community for decades. A specific focus of the IPSAC-VN is to teach new medical procedures. This is important as many poorer countries do not provide the opportunity for medical professionals to learn new things. This is extremely important in a rapidly changing profession where continued education will save lives. Dr. Mark Holterman also works to teach advanced specialty procedures to medical professionals. This further helps the community as it can be very difficult to find a specialty doctor. In the world of pediatrics this is specifically beneficial as children are frequently with complicated problems.
